Mall Valk

When she was six years old, her father was executed by the NKVD in Irkutsk.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Valk created humorous and sometimes grotesque plastic works based on situations and puns in ceramic.

She was one of the ceramists that executed a panel in the Central Library of the Estonian Academy of Sciences in 1964 based on a design by Lepo Mikko.

[1] Mall Valk was the cousin of the painter Ülo Sooster (1924–1970).

[5] She was married to the caricaturist and politician Heinz Valk.
