Mandapam is a panchayat town in Ramanathapuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Mandapam is Tamil Nadu’s largest refugee camp for Sri Lankans in India.

As of 2001[update] India census,[4] Mandapam had a population of 15,799.

The main occupation of the people living here is fishing.
