Maoriella macrostigma

Maoriella macrostigma is a species of centipede in the Geophilidae family.

It was first described in 1903 by Austrian myriapodologist Carl Attems.

[1][2] The original description of this species is based on female specimens ranging from 48 mm to 55 mm in length with 63 or 65 pairs of legs,[1] but this species can have as few as 55 segments, and specimens with 61 segments are common.

[3] The species occurs on the North Island.
