Mar Elias Educational Institutions

[1] The institution is under the direction of a Board which includes the founder and retired archbishop Elias Chacour.

The students of Mar Elias High are encouraged to participate in programs which try to establish long term relationships with people from other backgrounds, such as Jews, Italians, Canadians, Irish, Germans and Americans.

Indeed, the ranking of schools in Israel ceased several years ago, at which time MEEI was not listed.

The children who complete kindergarten can directly enroll in the Miriam Bawardi Elementary School which serves over 1000 students.

The elementary school shares a building with the MEEI guesthouse, which is located on the top floor.
