Baselios Cardinal Cleemmis Catholicos of Thiruvanathapuram is the Patron and Manager of the college.
The present building complex and campus were constructed between 1999 and 2001, in order to facilitate MTTC becoming the first college in Kerala State with all the specifications set by the National Council of Teacher Education.
Now the college is ISO (1995:2001) certified and a permanent member with consultative status with United Nations Academic Impact.
