Marat Bakytzhanuly Beketayev (born 29 August 1977) is a Kazakh politician who served as the Minister of Justice from 2016 to 2022.
Born in Chimkent (now Shymkent), Beketaev graduated from the Kazakh State Law University in 1998.
From 2001 to 2002, he served as the head of the sector in the department for work with diplomatic missions.
[1] On 11 December 2015, he was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan.
[2] Beketaev held the post of Minister of Justice in the cabinet of Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Askar Mamin from 13 September 2016 until the dismissal of the Mamin Cabinet on 5 January 2022.
