Marc David Baer is an historian and professor of International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Baer was born in Columbia, South Carolina.
Baer received his Bachelor's Degree [BA] from Northwestern University and his PhD from the University of Chicago.
[1] He is a scholar of Middle Eastern and European History, who conducts research utilising Arabic, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Ottoman Turkish, Persian and Turkish.
