Marcel Lermoyez (24 July 1858 – 1 February 1929) was a French otolaryngologist and surgeon who was a native of Cambrai.
The following year, he traveled to Vienna in order to study with famed otologist Adam Politzer (1835-1920).
In 1896 he opened a private clinic in Paris, and two years later was appointed to the Hôpital Saint-Antoine, where he established an otolaryngology service.
Marcel Lermoyez is credited for establishing otolaryngology as a specialized medical field in France.
He made contributions in the research of diseases such as tuberculosis of the ear, otosclerosis, and otogenous meningitis.
