Martin Lawrence Friedland, CC QC FRSC (born September 21, 1932) is a Canadian lawyer, academic and author.
He taught at Osgoode Hall Law School until 1965 when he joined the University of Toronto as an associate professor.
He was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1983.
In 1990 he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada and was promoted to Companion in 2003.
In 2003 he was awarded the Sir John William Dawson Medal, for important contributions of knowledge in multiple domains, by the Royal Society of Canada.
