Masalitina House

The Masalitina House (Russian: Дом Масалитиной), also known as the Vorozhein House (Russian: Дом Ворожеина) is a building in Rostov-on-Don located at the intersection of Bolshaya Sadovaya Street and Kirovsky Prospekt [ru].

[3] The structure was built in 1890 as a revenue house for K. A. Vorozhein, to the design of architect Grigory Vasilyev [ru].

The builders deviated from the design, and the original colour scheme was altered, the grounfd floor being painted green.

The mansion occupies the end of the block at the intersection of Bolshaya Sadovaya Street and Kirovsky Prospekt [ru].

The Masalitina House is built in the eclectic style, its architecture and design combine elements of baroque and classicism.

Originally the dome had a more elaborate design: it was covered with "scales", and there were four dormer windows on the sides.
