The first Dhaka North City Corporation elections were held on 28 April 2015, which saw the victory of Annisul Huq in the first political campaign of his career.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has announced a ৳5594 crore (US$460 million) budget for fiscal year of 2024–25.
