Interstate 75 passes through the northeast corner of the township but has no exits there.

The township includes the unincorporated communities of Rondo, Haakwood, and Wildwood.

[4] The Sturgeon River flows northward through the eastern part of the township, past Haakwood and Rondo.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 781 people, 317 households, and 234 families residing in the township.

23.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
