Mercedes Rossy

Mercedes Rossy (1961–1995) was a jazz pianist, composer and bandleader from Barcelona, Spain.

While at Berklee, she met Mark Turner and Steve Wilson, who joined her band and toured Europe with her.

Rossy also performed with musicians Seamus Blake, Antonio Hart, Herb Harris, Leon Parker and Hal Crook.

[2] Rossy's composition "The Newcomer" was also the title track of a 1997 George Colligan album on Steeplechase.
