In the 1921–22 season, Metrogas entered the FA Cup for the first time, losing 2–1 at home to Norwich City in the fifth qualifying round.
[1] Metrogas' first team used to play at the Metrogas Sports Ground in New Eltham,[4] before the club confirmed a groundsharing agreement to play at Sporting Club Thamesmead's Bayliss Avenue ground in May 2021.
[5] After 135 years of history as a men’s and boys' football club, in 2023-24 Metrogas FC set up their first ever female team.
Their U14 girls team won the KGFL Div 2 west in their first year.
