In 1946, Miami University began offering classes in Hamilton and Middletown to meet the needs of people living in those communities who could not attend college.
The success of these classes led to the creation of five academic centers in Norwood, Dayton, Piqua and the existing Hamilton and Middletown locations.
[4] Miami Hamilton is a small, compact campus consisting of five academic buildings, a gymnasium, and a conservatory.
[6] The College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science is an academic division of Miami University housed entirely at Miami University Hamilton and consists of twelve academic departments.
[13] Miami Hamilton is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and can complete for National Championships.
