He graduated from Harvard College and Suffolk University Law School.
[1] Creedon won his first election in 1974 for the 13th Plymouth district of the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
Creedon retained his seat as a state representative until running for the Massachusetts Senate in 1988.
He was placed on administrative leave in June 2016 and investigated for making racially insensitive comments, and granted early retirement in September 2016.
