Michael McCann (politician)

Michael McCann (born 2 January 1964)[3] is a British Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow 2010–2015.

He was elected to the UK Parliament in 2010 as the MP for the East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow seat, succeeding Adam Ingram.

[5] He served on the International Development Committee in the 2010–2015 Parliament[6] and is a member of Labour Friends of Israel.

[7] McCann is known to be a fierce critic of the Scottish National Party, and ruled out any formal post-election deal with them in March 2015.
