Michael R. Levy

Michael R. "Mike" Levy (born May 17, 1946) is the founder of Texas Monthly magazine,[1][2] and was publisher until retirement in August 2008.

Levy once drove a taxi, and also worked as a jailer at the Dallas County Jail.

Currently read by over two million people each month, the magazine provides commentary on all things Texan.

He has won awards from such institutions as the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Esquire Magazine, Planned Parenthood, and St.
