Michel Didisheim
It began with Belgian soldiers who had crossed the Channel, and, by the end of 1940 it had expanded to a "fusilier" battalion that played a significant role for the liberation of Belgium and its neighbouring countries of France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

On 18 June 1986, King Baudouin I conferred on Michel Didisheim and all his descendants the hereditary title of Baron, for services rendered to the Belgian dynasty.
