Microsternus tricolor

Microsternus tricolor is a species of pleasing fungus beetle in the family Erotylidae.

[1][2] It is endemic to China, Taiwan, Russia and Japan.

[1][2] The species' name comes from Greek and Latin, "tricolor" meaning "three colors".

[1][2] These beetles have a punctured, close pronotum and orange and black bands of elytra.

[2] Microsternus tricolor was discovered by Lewis in 1887.
