The station consists of one ground level side platform serving a single bidirectional track.
With the privatization of the Japan National Railway (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan railway Company (JR West).
Onoda Port spreads out on the west side of the station, and there is a Taiheiyo Cement factory.
There are high schools and banks on the east side of the station.
