Minuscule 474

[5] It contains subscriptions at the end of each Gospel, and lectionary markings at the margin (for liturgical reading).

[3][5] It is neatly written but survived in wretched condition.

[3] The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type.

It was brought from the East to England by Carlyle (1759–1804), professor of Arabic, together with the manuscripts 470, 471, 472, 473, 475, 488.

[3] The manuscript was examined by J. Farrer in 1804, Scrivener, who gave the first description of it.
