17 regions and 3 cities across Kazakhstan compete for the crown.
The Miss Qazaqstan competition is traditionally holding provincial representation every year.
Previously the main winner would automatically go to Miss Universe and now this has been changed to be more specific.
Miss Almaty as a provincial-level organization that is considered very competitive in selecting representatives is given the mandate to select the winning representative for Miss Universe.
