The contest is organized by Tiền Phong – a daily newspaper published by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the youth wing of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the country's only political organization.

The current Miss Vietnam titleholder is Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy from Da Nang, who was crowned on December 23, 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City.
