Miusynsk

Miusynsk (Ukrainian: Міусинськ, Russian: Миусинск) is a city in Khrustalnyi urban hromada, Rovenky Raion, Luhansk Oblast (region) of Ukraine, currently occupied by Russia.

[2] The settlement was founded in 1923 under the name Shtergres (Russian: Штергрэс), where gres refers to the local thermal power station built as a part of GOELRO plan.

[1] In 1965, the urban-type settlement of Shtergres and the village of Novopavlovka were merged, and the city of Miusynsk was established.

[1] Starting Mid-April 2014 Miusynsk was controlled by the Luhansk People's Republic and not by Ukrainian authorities.
