Al Haj Eng Economist Mohammad Hashem Taufiqui (Persian: الحاج محمد هاشم توفیقی) (June 6, 1942 – June 6, 2021, Kabul) was one of the candidates in the presidential election of 2009 in Afghanistan.
[1] Mohammad Hashem Taufiqui was an economist who fulfilled different posts in the previous states of Afghanistan.
Taufiqui has also had an important role in the drawing of these models during the presidency of Mohammed Daud Khan.
After graduating from Lese Habibya he joined the Faculty of Science in Kabul for one year.
There he learned mechanical engineering, industrial chemistry, management and political economy.
