She grew up in Pleasantville, New Jersey,[3] graduated from Pleasantville High School and briefly attended Duquesne University before dropping out to pursue a music career in Washington, D.C.[4] Samuels married former football player Chris Samuels in 2012.

Samuels and former RHOP co-star, Candiace Dillard-Bassett were both charged with second-degree assault of each other from the District Court of Montgomery County in Maryland after an alleged incident between Bassett and Samuels on October 16, 2019.
