Mornington Terrace

Both Mornington Terrace and Place are notable for their surviving Victorian houses.

[1] The area was built up to provide extra residential capacity for the expanding capital.

Mornington Place, originally Crescent Place, features more terraced Victoria houses before meeting Mornington Crescent by the Art Deco Carreras Cigarette Factory.

The Edinboro Castle pub was constructed in the early Victorian period and is now Grade II listed.

[3] Another pub, The Victoria, sat on the corner between Mornington Terrace and Place for many years,[4] A number of buildings are now listed.
