Morvin Duel

Morvin M. Duel (July 8, 1888 – August 18, 1948) was an American educator, businessman, and Republican politician.

Duel was born on July 8, 1888, in the town of Eldorado, in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin.

[1][2] He graduated from high school in Rosendale, Wisconsin, and earned his bachelor's degree from the Oshkosh State Teachers College in 1910.

The 18th Senate district then comprised Fond du Lac, Green Lake, and Waushara counties.

He resigned his Senate seat in September 1939 when he was appointed insurance commissioner for the state of Wisconsin by Governor Julius P. Heil.
