Mothkur is a Municipality and also a mandal headquarter situated in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district in the Indian state of Telangana.It is also a Taluka ertswhile.

The name Mothkur evolved from Modhuga-luru.the village was rich in modhuga plants at olden times.
