The Tigers are in the 2A classification of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) and compete in the Yadkin Valley Conference.
The school has sports teams in football, basketball, baseball, golf, cross country, track and field, tennis, swimming, volleyball, softball, wrestling, and soccer.
On August 14, 2023, the Cabarrus County Board of Education voted to name Tiger Stadium for Mike Johns, who retired after 23 years as football coach.
The next year there were 463 students and 13 teachers, and the first 10th grade graduating class had 13 members.
