Mycena citricolor is a species of mushroom-forming fungus in the family Mycenaceae.
This fungus causes the disease commonly known as American Leaf Spot.
[2] This fungus can grow on all parts of the coffee plant including the leaves, stems and fruits.
[2] The Mycena fungus can be identified growing on somewhat circular, brown spots on coffee leaves.
[2] The brown spots are caused by the presence of the parasitic fungus and by looking at the leaves closely, small mushrooms with luminescence can be seen.
