He received a training grant from the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Research in Human Reproduction.
[2] On 12 September 1998, as Medical Superintendent of North Okkalapa General Hospital, Maung Maung represented the hospital at a ceremony where cash donations were made for a trust fund to help poor and needy patients.
[3] On 24 August 2001 Maung Maung spoke at a ceremony attended by Minister at the Prime Minister's Office U Than Shwe and Minister for Livestock Breeding and Fisheries Brig-Gen. Maung Maung Thein at which K 2.46 million was distributed to buy medical equipment for the North Okkalapa General Hospital.
