Naphazoline

It has a rapid action in reducing swelling when applied to mucous membranes.

It is a sympathomimetic agent with marked alpha adrenergic activity that acts on alpha-receptors in the arterioles of the conjunctiva to produce constriction, resulting in decreased congestion.
