Narayan Chandra Chanda (born 12 March 1945)[2] is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a former Minister of Land served in 2024.
He is a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Khulna-5 constituency, and a former Minister of Fisheries and Livestock.
He was elected a Member of Parliament in the Dumuria-Fultala (Khulna-5) constituency in the by-elections held on 27 December 2000 after the death of the then Health Minister Salahuddin Yusuf.
[6] He got the office of State Minister of Fisheries and Live stocks in this term and later in 2018 he was preceded by Mohammad Sayedul Haque and got the office of Ministry of Fisheries and live stocks.
[citation needed] Following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina led Awami League government, Chanda was detained by the Border Guard Bangladesh in Jhenaidah while allegedly fleeing to India.
