Neoraimondia herzogiana

Neoraimondia herzogiana is a tree-like cactus (family Cactaceae) native to Bolivia.

[2] Neoraimondia herzogiana is a shrub that grows in the form of a tree, candelabra-shaped, perennial and fleshy that reaches a height of 15 meters, with a diameter of 15 to 20 centimeters.

The white or pink flowers, reach a diameter of 6 cm, are followed by edible fruits.

The ovoid, sweet and tasty fruits are yellowish brown and covered with thorns.

[3] Neoraimondia herzogiana is distributed in the Bolivian departments of Cochabamba, Chuquisaca, Santa Cruz and Tarija at altitudes of 600 to 1900 meters.
