The racial makeup of the township was 98.48% White, 1.14% Asian, and 0.38% from two or more races.

22.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 10.4% of families and 15.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 12.8% of those under the age of eighteen and 4.3% of those 65 or over.
