Roscommon Township, Michigan

The village of Roscommon is located to the northeast in Higgins Township.

[8] The township is located at the southwest end of Houghton Lake.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 4,249 people, 1,716 households, and 1,158 families residing in the township.

There were 2,678 housing units at an average density of 25.8 per square mile (9.9/km2).

27.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
