New Post is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Hunter, Sawyer County, Wisconsin, United States.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 367 people, 156 households, and 97 families residing in the CDP.

The racial makeup of the CDP was 34.60% White, 65.12% Native American, and 0.27% from two or more races.

There were 156 households, out of which 25.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.0% were married couples living together, 16.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.2% were non-families.

32.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
