Winter is a town in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, United States.

The unincorporated community of Hay Stack Corner is also located in the town.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 969 people, 381 households, and 276 families residing in the town.

There were 1,203 housing units at an average density of 4.3 per square mile (1.7/km2).

22.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
