Nicopolis or Nikopolis (Ancient Greek: Νικόπολις, "city of victory") was a town of ancient Bithynia, on the Bosphorus.
[1] Pliny the Elder notes that it stood upon a Gulf which in his time still bore the name, north from Chrysopolis.
