Nijbroek

Nijbroek is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland.

It is located in the municipality of Voorst, about 12 km northeast of Apeldoorn.

Nijbroek was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Voorst.

[4] In 1328, Reginald II, Duke of Guelders ordered the cultivation and poldering of the area.

It is named after Frans van Apeldoorn who became the proprietor in 1658 and turned it into a castle.
