Nimrod (1824 ship)

On 20 March 1840, Nimrod, of 174 tons (bm), Hay, master, arrived at Port Nicholson (Wellington), from Sydney.

[2] In 1840, the brig Nimrod, of 174 tons, Lancaster, master, and origin Sydney, departed on 25 October with 12 passengers for the Bay of Islands.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on 14 November 1842 that parties in the Bay of Islands had purchased Nimrod for use as a whaler.

[4] Nimrod, Alexander McLeod, master, left Hobart on 26 December 1849 on a whaling voyage to Holdfast Bay.

[5] Nimrod was wrecked off the coast of the Horne Islands, north west of Fiji in July 1854.
