Nogaysky District, Karachay-Cherkess Republic

Nogaysky District (Russian: Нога́йский райо́н; Nogay: Ногай районы, Noğay rayonı; Kabardian: Нэгъуей куей; Karachay-Balkar: Ногъай район, Noğay rayon) is an administrative[1] and a municipal[4] district (raion), one of the ten in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Russia.

The area of the district is 202 square kilometers (78 sq mi).

[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Erken-Shakhar.

[1] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 15,659, with the population of Erken-Shakhar accounting for 26.7% of that number.
