North Henderson High School

North is located adjacent to Apple Valley Middle school which inherited the vast majority of their students from Edneyville Junior High.

(The current site of Edneyville High School is now the home of the Justice Academy, a North Carolina law enforcement training center.)

In 2013, the Henderson County Education History Initiative held a fundraiser to raise funds to memorialize the former Edneyville High School site.

Thomas drove to Lightfoot, Virginia to haul in an enormous Knight that still sits in the school's Commons Area.

North Henderson currently sponsors the varsity competition for men and women in soccer, tennis, golf, cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field, and basketball.
