North Kansas City Hospital, founded in 1958, is a primary acute care center with 451 beds.

liNKCity is one of the first municipally operated broadband networks in the state and provides speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second.

In 2014, the city entered into an agreement for liNKCity to be managed by a third-party provider, DataShack.
