When Sablan announced his campaign, he drew a crowd including members of the three political parties as well as independents.

Delegate Gregorio Sablan was re-elected by a massive 60-point spread, with nearly four-fifths of the vote, the largest margin of victory in the history of the Northern Mariana Islands.
