Nse Essien

[2] Nse Essien was born on March 23, 1970, in Ikot Akpan Nko village in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom.

[3] During his term, Essien served as deputy chief whip as well as chairman of the House Committee on Investment, Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

[citation needed] In 2019, Essien was re-elected as a member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly following the 2019 general elections.

[9] He has also facilitated the release of 189 inmates from the Nigerian Correctional Service by paying the option of fines for them, primarily during Yuletide periods over the past eight years.
