Odo Rumpf (born 3 April 1961 in Leverkusen) is a German sculptor working in Cologne.
In 2005,[2][3] Rumpf converted a 5000 m2[2] large vacant plot of land, located in Köln-Neuehrenfeld [de] between railway tracks[5] at the periphery of the nearby Köln Betriebsbahnhof in the fan-out area of Köln Hauptbahnhof, into an open space studio site and atelier area which became known as "Freistaat Odonien" (English: Free State of Odonia).
Decorated with metal sculptures, Odonien hosts exhibitions, festivals as well as music,[7] cinematic[8] and dance[9] events.
Odonien is home to the semi-annual robot show "Robodonien",[14][15][16][17][18][3] which has been compared with Burning Man.
[21] In November 2023, the festival was changed to also feature light installations under the name Odonien leuchtet.
