Odostomia baranoffensis is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Pyramidellidae, the pyrams and their allies.
[2][3] This species is considered a synonym of Odostomia tenuisculpta Carpenter, 1864 by ITIS.
[4] Dall & Bartsch made the distinction based upon the following indications:[1] The elongate-ovate, yellowish-white shell is rather stout.
The periphery and the base of the body whorl are inflated and well rounded, the latter with a depressed pit, but no perforation in the umbilical area.
The entire surface is marked by lines of growth and very fine spiral striations.
